What is this fine informational pamphlet?  This will help you survive and enjoy the wedding.

What is “Mathryn”? Mathryn is Matt and Kathryn’s “celebrity nickname” – invented years ago by a friend of the couple.

Who are these fine gentlemen that brought me to my seat?  K’s cousins who came from Alberta to help.

Who are those children I see?  Harmony, Zion and Xyla.

Um, I only see 1 or 2 kids.  The odds are high that Zion ran away ans Xyla became tired and/or hungry.

Why is the chapel not decorated?  It was built in 1886 and is charming without decor.  Also, we thought you’d appreciate having an open bar instead.

I’m hot.  Ok. If you mean temperature-wise, then please take off your jacket and use this pamphlet to make a fan.  Perhaps Wiki HOW: “How to make a paper fan.”

Very cute idea for a wedding!  Here are a few of our favourite photos from the day…

Kristen + Brian. Wedding at White Album Wedding Chapel

Kristen + Brian have known one another since they were just kids, they were both part of the gymnastics club at their elementary school back in the day. In sixth grade Brian had a secret crush on Kristen but he kept that to himself for many years to follow!  As time past they went there separate ways, Brian off to university and Kristen out to sea working in the cruise ship industry, but last fall they reconnected and after their first date sipping pumpkin spiced lattes at Starbucks, they have not spent a single day apart.

We love, love the details and thought that went into putting everything together for K + B’s wedding!  The flowers were done by Renee Higginson from Flower’s by Renee. She has known both Brian and Kristen since childhood. They wanted a lush tropical feel, and used orchids and palms to create just that.  Kristen’s hair was done by Miranda Verschuur, a close friend to both the bride and groom and the bride made their beautiful cake herself.   Kristen’s dress was the first that she tried on, and she just knew it was the one. She wanted a vintage look and loves lace. It was perfect!  Brian wore a grey/brown suit with a yellow striped tie. The wedding day happened to be the hottest day of the summer so the groomsmen were thankful they got to wear brown leather flip flops, roll up there sleeves and ditch their suit jackets.

They chose our little chapel in Greendale for their ceremony. “I had always wanted to get married in an church with character, and that it definately had. After going through the chapel we both fell in love with it! It was built in 1886 and contains stained glass windows, a lot of the original woodwork and even a bell that gets rung after you say “I do”. (Kristen)

Reception at the chapel / gray/black + white

We wanted to share a few photos from Tanya + John’s intimate wedding at the chapel.

T + J chose a black, white & gray colour scheme with decor and coordination by Perfect parties by Michelle .

Michelle added some unique touches to the reception hall:

As each guest came in they were greeted by engraved glasses personalized with the couple’s initials and a card with their seating arrangement.

Printed place markers were also designed by Michelle and colourful fish were used in the center pieces. The fish were adopted to loving homes afterwards as prearranged by T + J.

A pie and candy table replaced the traditional cake.

Gray, black and white lanterns and black candles on white candelabras were lit up as it got dark.  (see rentals)

A canoe filled with ice was used to keep cold drinks!

Black and gray table runners and chair sashes tied the decor together perfectly.
